We are now 9 months after the historic 23rd June vote and it appears that businesses have decided to let the politicians and European Leaders fight their way through an Article 50 agreement and just get on with Business As Usual. The real issue for UK Employers will be around their investment in their Employer Brand and building engagement with Talent Pools before the market tightens with less of a European labour pool not waiting for the pools to diminish and then panicking.
The most cost effective route is to build brand awareness through great content sharing and social channels and then share vacancies with an engaged talent pool .
Almost nine in ten businesses have admitted that Brexit will not dampen their hiring plans, especially in relation to bringing in apprentices. A recent survey from The 5% Club has found that 89% of UK businesses are confident in their ability to navigate labour shortages following the vote to leave the EU. Having surveyed 200 UK employers, the data highlights that employers are confident that apprenticeships can help bridge the gap, should the UK lose access to skilled workers.
