Our latest research highlights a gap between the perceptions of employers and candidates about the candidate experience. Candidates receive limited information on the recruitment process, yet many employers feel candidates are ill prepared. 

Employers are looking for candidates to demonstrate how brilliant they are so of course a positive environment is being created...not quite, candidates say their recruitment experience is like being judged by a panel on the X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing (with the obvious one nice panellist).

Academics interviewing for places on a veterinary nursing course, have come up with a novel way of combating the jitters - three dogs on the interview panel.They reckon it creates a "tension-free" atmosphere. Of course it also helps interviewees demonstrate how they communicate with both animals and human beings.
