Have you ever been to party and spent the evening trying to avoid someone because you know they are soooooooooo boring. They have nothing fun or engaging to say and typical talk about themselves and say the same old stuff?
Hold that thought .......... when candidates engage with your careers website or social media feeds are you equally as boring? Blah blah blah No fun, no engagement, no reasons to think they would have a great job and enjoy their work, colleagues etc
Content is a key aspect of what people use to judge the culture and values of a business and their view of you as an employer. Like most things that get done well content needs a plan and resources to make sure that what you say about yourself is engaging and makes people want to have a dialogue with you. I know that some content is factual but even this can be presented with some spark.

What do you do when you are in a bar or at a party and someone comes over and starts boring you about himself or herself? You know the sort – me, blah, me, blah, me, blah, me – until they draw breath! I don’t know about you, but when that happens, I am out of there as soon as I can be and make a point of avoiding that person again. What do you do? Just remember how that makes YOU feel, and what impression that gives YOU of that other person. So now consider the content you create, post and share. What do you do when you see people or companies just talking ‘me, me, me’ or ‘us, us, us’ on whichever social network you use?
