It seems like only last week data scientists were the "Rock stars" of the recruitment world, being courted and offered huge salaries. Now the focus is on skills in AI and Machine Learning.
In recruitment this will give us all challenges in fishing from this small pool and salaries are going to rocket as a result. It's clear that this technology is only going to be in more demand in the future, so businesses need to start thinking how they can support this through emerging talent programmes but also through investment in education.
In the UK we're at the forefront of this technology but this will require continued investment in not only PhD programmes but in the very core of our education system.
