Those of you that know me, or have heard me speak at various events will know I have a passion for data.

So it probably won’t surprise you to know that I found this correlation study incredibly interesting, and at times surprising. To say that if you talk about being a team player you reduce your hireability by 51%. And by being a woman it increases by 48% honestly surprised me, particularly when you see the lack of diversity within so many organisations.

Data has no agenda, so I can only take this is for what it is, but seeing these type of statistics makes me wonder what is driving the behaviours and actions of recruiters and hiring managers?
