Those of you that know me, or have heard me speak at various events will know I have a passion for data.
So it probably won’t surprise you to know that I found this correlation study incredibly interesting, and at times surprising. To say that if you talk about being a team player you reduce your hireability by 51%. And by being a woman it increases by 48% honestly surprised me, particularly when you see the lack of diversity within so many organisations.
Data has no agenda, so I can only take this is for what it is, but seeing these type of statistics makes me wonder what is driving the behaviours and actions of recruiters and hiring managers?
We analyzed 4,000+ job applications and job applicants from the past few months and, using some fancy math and a bit of elbow grease, identified 13 key factors out of 100+ possible factors that drove up our A-List Talent’s interview rates.
