I was previously ignorant of the term "Distributed Workforce" but I recently read a tweet from business mogul Mitchell Harper saying the following...
"I strongly believe in 5 years people will laugh at the idea of commuting an hour each way to an office where where they pretend to be productive from 9-5, non stop.
If your team isn't distributed now, you're missing one of the biggest productivity shifts in our lifetime."
Quite a statement.
There certainly are pros and cons, and 5 years seems a little bit optimistic to me (in the UK at least.) It'll be interesting to see how the future of office work unfolds...
What do you think?
From enhanced productivity to higher savings and better employee retention rates, there are multiple benefits of working with a distributed team.
