Using employee advocates to develop your employee brand really can increase the authenticity of your recruitment message. Glassdoor have just released some interesting research on the benefits of utilising current employees to help build employer brand.
Glassdoor's finding's show that candidates will place higher trust in what a current employee says over and above what the recruitment team or even the CEO of the company says. Not only that but its shown to increase diversity and tap into the ever elusive passive market.
"With a Glassdoor reporting finding candidates are 40% more likely to put in an application if they are familiar with the company brand, enabling employees to share brand content can help business gain traction," he explains. "Furthermore, as employees are significantly more trusted than CEOs (Edelman Trust Barometer 2018), they are able to drive relevant employee referrals through social media to access new talent."
