I've been recently performing a number of audits on a variety of ATS to test for Google for Jobs readiness.

As part of the review, part of the process involves me disabling javascript in the browser and testing to see how the ATS platform delivers the vacancy/job details.

I'm finding that ATS providers, in particular Brassring and Taleo, load the vacancies using Javascript rather than serving it up as regular HTML.

This means that moving forwards there is a chance that candidates that arrive on those pages will be presented with a blank page and nothing further.

So what can you do?

Well the first thing we do is integrate the ATS into the Careers site. This allows you to have more control over the design and usability of the vacancy pages, as well as incorporate related/recent vacancy widgets throughout the rest of the Career site role pages making it easier for Candidates to find the right job.

The integration also allows you to serve those pages as HTML, and ensure that they are seen by everyone.
