As today is likely to be an all time record for temperatures in the UK, it only seems appropriate that we look at how an organisation tasked with keeping us refreshed in this heat, embarks on a journey to become a wholly D&I employer. According to Boston Consulting Group organisations boasting greater diversity among management teams, have 19% higher revenues than firms that don't. Equally, a recent whitepaper found that when diverse teams collectively made a business decision, they outperformed individual decision makers up to 87%.
In this insightful and thought provoking piece from Jane Brydon, HRD at HEINEKEN UK, she explains their 5 year plan under the D&I agenda to create an environment where all colleagues feel they belong. So join me in raising a glass (alcoholic or otherwise) to all those individuals and organisations across the country leading the way in D&I. Cheers.
Encouraging diverse hiring processes allows employers to unlock top talent, particularly as organisations continue to cast their eye towards changing customer demands and the skills required to drive business forwards in future.
