It's surprising to see that only 15.3% of all vacancies in the UK offer some flexibility especially given the current spotlight on this. What's more surprising is that those jobs over £60k are three times more likely to offer flexible arrangements compared to those at the mid to lower ends of the salary scale.
With flexibility falling short of demand employers need to look at ways in which they can use flexible working as a differentiator in the war for talent. The future workforce needs to reflect the needs of the candidate especially in times of skill shortage and a tight labour market.
Job adverts with salaries over £60,000 are three times more likely to offer flexible working than they did three years ago, according to research.
