As the world of work continues to change so do our preferences. A recent report highlights that employees preferences change as they get older. For example 35% of 30-45 year olds want the option of working remotely, whilst 23% of those in their 20's favour an office environment and the ability to socialise at work.
For those organisations who are embracing this new world, a move to remote working and flexible working policies has meant a shift in how their office infrastructure works, with a reduction in office space and a review of how technology can support this shift.
Those yet to embrace it may expect higher churn as other organisations seek to understand the needs of those with skills that are critical to their future and offer a more flexible approach.
Ultimately organisations should consider the needs of the workforce today and in future if they are to attract and retain the best talent.
Employers must embrace this need for flexibility and choice if they want to compete by attracting and retaining the best people.
