With a quarter of British employees going through the furlough scheme and many going through redundancies organisations and their people have been significantly impacted. As many immediate decisions have had to be made, medium to longer term considerations such as diversity and inclusion may have been left by the way side.
Taking care of your people and embracing diversity and inclusion is just as important during unprecedented times (according to an article in the World Economic forum by Laura Liswood from the Council of Women World Leaders). So how should we embrace D&I?
According to Liswood we need to think about; Inclusion, Performance, Leadership and Women's Participation..........
According to Liswood: “Diversity is fundamental to innovation and creativity. Cognitive diversity – the numerous ways people think and carry their varied experiences – offers a spectrum of perspectives that can help organisations navigate this unprecedented economic and health collapse.”
