Covid has brought about a new way of working for many that according to recent research will change long-term working patterns for good.
With more flexibility throughout the working day due to saving on commuting time, spending more time with family and wanting to lead a healthier lifestyle it is expected that c.13 million people across the UK will apply for changes to their future working pattern.
However, how employers will react to those requests may depend on the culture of the organisation and how it has dealt with the pandemic to date. According to some, organisations that will thrive post Covid will adopt new ways of working, embrace flexibility and give their employees a new perspective on working life.
HR directors expect 70% of their workforce will have flexible working once coronavirus restrictions are lifted, a 45% increase on current levels.
